Dr. Christmas- Retirement Notice to Patients
Last day June 27, 2025
To my patients- I am writing to inform you of my upcoming retirement after a career in ophthalmology of over 25 years, most of those as a vitreoretinal surgeon at Colorado Retina Associates. My last day of practice will be June 27, 2025.
While I look forward to the next chapter of my life, I will deeply miss the privilege of caring for you and all my patients over the years. It has been a rewarding and fulfilling career and I will always carry this experience with me.
I want to make sure that you get the care you will need going forward. You will be able to select a new Colorado Retina Associates physician to ensure there is no disruption in your ongoing eye care and treatment. I recommend any of my 12 practice partners who are vitreoretinal-trained specialists. I feel confident in transferring your care to any of them. We will automatically transfer your medical records once you have selected your new doctor. Your provider will have access to your past exam notes and I have made notations for those patients with special preferences to avoid any disruption in treatment.
If you would like to request your medical records, call our main number at (303) 261-1600 and ask for the medical records team.
Thank you for the trust and confidence you have placed in me over the years. It has been an honor to care for you and I wish you continued health and well-being in the future.
Kindest Regards,
Nancy Christmas, M.D.

“I was very impressed with the entire staff, especially Dr. Christmas. She was very professional, friendly, and thorough as was the rest of the staff in doing the exams, scans, and the treatment plan.”— Vilma
“Very good encounter. Dr. Christmas came recommended, so I went to see her first to talk about the procedure. She outlined every step of her procedure and was honest about the possibility of it causing pain. The procedure went flawlessly, and she explained everything she was doing. I felt much better and trust her a lot more than my previous doctor.”— Anonymous
