Tides Changing Therapy is here to provide the space, tools  and listening needed to develop a holistic approach to get you from where you  are, to where you want to be. Dr. Samantha Miller is a licensed clinical  social worker and psychotherapist that specializes in working with people  living with vision loss or blindness. Dr. Miller has experience as a disease  and mental health therapist, family/caregiver therapist and social worker  with the low vision and blind community for years at the Tampa Lighthouse for  the Blind before moving to Colorado. She has bore witness to the barriers  that exist and affect access to treatment by members of the low vision  community, and my goal is to help break down those barriers. Many sessions  for the low vision community focus on Loss and Grief Therapy, but sessions  vary for each client. Your emotionality is one of your greatest possessions.  We can explore your emotions, and learn to understand them. University of Denver, Center for Oncology Psychology Excellence

Our psychologists use assessment, research, consultation, supervision and training to help caregivers and families to alleviate some of the stresses and difficulties that come along with caring for someone with cancer.

Cancer can cause tremendous distress for individuals and their families, friends and caregivers. That distress often goes unaddressed, as treatment emphasizes the physical elements of the disease. Unfortunately, many cancer centers are struggling to meet the mental health needs of cancer patients and those closest to them.

We're working to change that. Our psychologists use assessment, research,  consultation, supervision and training that allows them to help with  cancer-related symptoms like insomnia, nausea, anxiety about treatment, fear  of recurrence and depression.

We're also able to work with caregivers and families to alleviate some of the stresses and difficulties that come along with caring for someone with  cancer, empowering them to provide better care while supporting their own  mental health.
