Colorado Retina Attends The 6th Annual Innovation Summit Retinal Cell And Gene Therapy
Colorado Retina’s Dr. Alan Kimura (physician/partner), Frank Garcia (Clinical Research Director) and Jalaya Alexander (CRA staff) attended this years’ annual Foundation Fighting Blindness, Innovation Summit for Retinal Cell and Gene Therapy, prior to the ARVO 2019 Annual Meeting in Vancouver, BC. This year was the largest turnout yet, a sold-out event with over 400 ophthalmology attendees from all over the US. The day-long event, is progressively becoming the world’s most comprehensive overview of the promising research underway for emerging treatments of inherited retinal disease, will advance collaborative efforts among physicians, industry, and scientists to address the needs associated with delivering therapeutics in ocular cell and gene therapy.
The Colorado Retina Clinical Research Department and CRA’s Inherited Retinal Disease Service looks forward to expanding and initiating gene therapy trials in the near future.
