Colorado Retina Associates Attend The Arvo 2019 Annual Meeting In Vancouver, BC
Colorado Retina joins the leading vision scientists, ophthalmologists and retina specialists from around the World to discuss new technologies and research to cure blindness. Over 11,000 attendees were present for the annual meeting, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, April 28 – May 2, 2019. The theme this year, “From bench to bedside and back” a tagline created to highlight the evolving way in which research is conducted. More often today, the results of research done in the laboratory are directly used to develop new ways to treat patients. Whether you are examining the genetics of disease or the possibilities of a new technology to diagnose, treat, or even prevent an eye condition, this work often begins with a burning question that leads to more questions and answers. Those answers and more questions may journey to a patient’s bedside, for a novel treatment. Still, the treatment may lead to more questions — bringing us back to the bench with more questions.
