3D Heads Up Surgery: Dr. Murtaza Adam

Colorado Retina Associates, Murtaza Adam, MD conceived, designed, and was co-first author on a study at Wills, published and featured by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, in their Ophthalmology Retina journal. The study compares a novel 3D heads up surgical visualization system to the standard operating microscope. It was the first study of its kind to be published and its results will be important in advancing digital visualization technology for vitreoretinal surgery. The goal: to assess safety, efficacy, and outcomes of vitreoretinal surgery for macular pathology using a 3-dimensional heads-up display (3D HUD) surgical platform compared with a standard operating microscope (SOM).
