Measures to support accessibility
Colorado Retina Associates takes the following measures to ensure accessibility for all:
- Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
- Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices.
- Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Colorado Retina Associates is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Additional accessibility considerations
Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: The images embedded are either described within the content or for decorative purposes, and text meets color contrast and sizing requirements for people with low vision. Colorado Retina Associates also provides a trained virtual interpreter for visitors with limited English proficiency or sight.
